I have to say I was very skeptical about this machine. I have spent way too much money on *bucks fraps in the past, but I took a chance and wow-o-wow am I glad I did!!!
This machine does what no blender can do!!!
This machine makes a perfect replica of what the barista's can make down the street. Follow the directions in the book to the letter and you can't go wrong. The base is solid, which is important, because this thing is powerful! The only thing is to try around with different ice until you find one that gives you the consistency you want. My ice maker makes 1/2 moon shaped ice (which is what it calls for), I use 14 cubes exactly and it's perfect everytime. One other thing, which is no big deal for me is the noise level. It's pretty loud, but the good folks at Mr. Coffee have the little green "frappe" light blink several times prior to the mixing to give you time to prepare for the NOISE! Oh yeah and be sure to put the lid on right - I was wearing my first frappe! :)
Bottom line: buy this machine if you love the fraps, but hate the frap cost.
