I have been using this coffeemake for several months and it has done a fine job. I have piping hot coffee every morning. I especially like the thermal carafe because if I don't finish the coffee it still taste good hours later as it hasn't been cooked on a warming plate of the regular styled coffee maker. I do not regret this purchase!
